St. Augustine's RC Church
Milton Keynes - Parish Hub
The design and layout of the proposed residential hub takes
its inspiration from the plans of Victorian alms houses and the
courtyard form of a Roman Villa. Both are examples of
domestic buildings (typically arranged around courtyards)
which support collective living either as groups of families or
communities of people living together collectively with shared
social and meeting space
The new building will be formed of 3 wings with 4 no. two
story living units sitting centrally and linking to a social wing
containing kitchen, living and dining spaces and a study
office wing containing work rooms and study / library space.
Planning was approved in 2018 and work is due to start on
site in the summer of 2020.
