The existing church was designed in 1971 and built in 1972 to
designs prepared by The Ellis / Williams Partnership.
The church was dedicated in 1972 but according to records had major alterations in the late 80’s and was re-dedicated in 1989 in an "In the round" configuration. The original layout was a more traditional forward facing arrangement focussing on an altar at the front.
The re-ordering allows the church to revert back to its original orientation and incorporates new seating, flooring, ceiling and lighting as well as opening up skylights that had been hidden for years by the old lay in tile ceiling.
