The brief was to move from the current cramped headquarters
in Oakley House to a new site and be housed in a modern
purpose built facility in order to:
Provide at least 4000ft2 of new usable space. (existing currently 2000ft2)
Utilise the potential available site areas adjacent to St Clares RC Church on Elmhurst Road.
Recommend the demolition of the existing presbytery house and its future re-location closer to the church in order to efficiently free up dedicated space for the new CCIA headquarters.
Make future strategic site provision for a new church hall close to the exiting church.
Create a sustainable and energy efficient building and aim for BREEAM excellent standard.
